It's Back To School For Some Parents In Camden

CAMDEN, NJ (CBS) -- A new program in Camden is giving city parents summer learning opportunities.

For the first time, courses on basic computer skills, job development training, parenting tips and English as a Second Language (ESL) are available at the school district's Parent Center.

"Learning never stops, not for students and not for their parents," Superintendent Paymon Rouhanifard said in a release. "After spending a great deal of time speaking with parents over the last year, we have rethought these programs to give Camden families access to meaningful skill-building opportunities.

The program, called the Parent Summer Academy, is running from July 14 through August 22, and seats are reportedly still available.

Interested parents should call Charla Sinclair on (856) 966-2805, ext. 38620 or visit the District Parent Center at 800 Erie St. in Camden.
