WEATHER BLOG: From Moonshine To No Shine

By Carol Erickson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Our super full Supermoon will increasingly get smaller, but its changes over the next few days will be obscured by clouds.

The sun will have to battle for air time today, but especially Monday and Tuesday as clouds build and move in.

A strong cold front drives up the humidity and then plows into the region to start the work week. The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has our area in the slight risk category for severe weather on Monday. That means downpours, hail and damaging winds are possible tomorrow and maybe again on Tuesday.

But that front eventually clears the area and  disrupts the weather so much that by Wednesday it is a totally different region weatherwise. We will be cooler – in the lower 80's- and drier starting Wednesday through Friday.

A mid July break follows a July temper tantrum.
