Severe Thunderstorms Force Thousands Of Power Outages

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Heavy rain and hail has caused thousands of people to lose power in the Delaware Valley on Thursday.

Residents in Berks County are seeing the worst of it with 3,677 residents without power at this time.

In Chester County, 1,274 homes are without power.

Philadelphia residents are not seeing a significant loss. PECO says only scattered outages have been reported.

In New Jersey, PSE&G says there is a total of 97 outages and there are no outages in the southern part of the state.

Delmarva in Delaware says they're reporting 31 active outages with 2,438 customers affected.
