Ewing Police Search For Hit And Run Driver

EWING, N.J. (CBS) – Police are searching for the driver of a car who struck a 26-year-old woman in the morning of April 16 and then fled the scene.

The female victim said she was struck by a car in the southbound curb lane of Pennington Road while attempting to cross Pennington Road at Main Street in the crosswalk.

The woman says the driver initially stopped at first to see if she was okay, then left the scene.

She said the driver was a white male,  wearing a suit and tie.

The vehicle is described as a blue SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee, and should have damage to the passenger side fender.

The victim suffered some serious injuries and was dazed after the collision.
