PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Facebook has rolled out a simpler look and new tools for Pages, its platform for businesses.

Facebook is changing the appearance for both Page visitors and Page administrators to what the company is calling a more “streamlined” look.

“One of the complaints that they had was that the design on the traditional desktop was very different than the design on the mobile side,” says founder and CEO of Internet marketing company Webimax, Ken Wisnefski.

Facebook says the one-column look will ensure that posts show up regularly and consistently across the feed.

“I’m noticing more and more companies working hard to really streamline what their mobile sites and desktop sites look like so the user experience is similar regardless of what device you’re on.”

Facebook has also added a new feature called “Pages to Watch” which lets Page administrators monitor the data and performance of similar pages.
