PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – If you want to see the country’s most beautiful garden, you need not venture far from Philadelphia.

USA Today announced Wednesday that Longwood Gardens, in nearby Kennett Square, has won the coveted title of “Best Public Garden.”

Users reportedly voted the 1,000-plus acre gardens the best in the United States. Longwood has more than 20 indoor and outdoor gardens and sees more than a million visitors per year.

Virginia’s Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden came in second place.

USA Today says the contest was its second most popular to date.
