WEATHER BLOG: A Soggy Weekend

By Carol Erickson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- At least the precipitation this weekend isn't snow. That said, we will get soaking rain out of a storm system moving in from the South.

Expect from 1 to 3 inches of rain in our area, with a flood watch from Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening on a line from Wilmington to Philadelphia to Trenton to points north and west.

Southern New Jersey isn't in the watch only because the flood threshold there is 3 to 4 inches, and we are not likely to see that.

Still, everyone gets involved in this rain storm. It might be slow to exit the area, and shower chances will continue Sunday and maybe through the first part of Monday.

The temperatures will remain on the mild side -- in the 50's -- with a climb into the 60's by Tuesday.
