CAMDEN (CBS) – The Camden County Prosecutor and Police Chief reported the arrest of a 17-year-old male for a weekend murder.

The teen turned himself in at the Camden County Metro Police Department Sunday evening.

The young man allegedly shot Jason Williams, 33, multiple times outside of a unit of the Crestbury Apartments in Camden around 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Another 17-year-old is charged with hindering apprehension and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose in connection with the killing. The teen is accused of helping the defendant hide the weapon used in the shooting.

Officers were able to recover the weapon. Both teens are being held at the Camden County Youth Detention Center.
