TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Authorities have identified the man killed during a shooting at an illegal nightclub in New Jersey’s capital city.

But a motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

Mercer County prosecutors say 43-year-old Trenton resident Charles White was shot in the head early Saturday and later died at a hospital (See previous story).

Three other people wounded in the shooting remained hospitalized Sunday, including a 30-year old Trenton man shot in the heart, lung and lower extremities. He was in critical condition, while two other victims — a 23-year-old woman shot in the right shoulder and a 30-year-old man shot in the ankle — remain in stable condition.

Besides the shooting victims, two city women trying to flee the building suffered burns when grease spilled from a deep fryer.

No arrests have been made.
