PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Pennsylvania Turnpike is now operating under a Winter Weather Advisory system-wide due to the forecast of snow.

The advisory is in effect Monday tonight through Tuesday:

  • I-76/I-276 from Gateway (Exit #2-Ohio Connection) east to the Delaware River Bridge (Exit #359)
  • I-476 from Mid-County (Exit #20) north to Clarks Summit (Exit #131)

The Pa. Turnpike asks drivers to watch for emergency crews working on the roadway and allow plenty of space when driving near plow trucks.

In case of an emergency, the Pa. Turnpike says drivers can utilize the yellow emergency call boxes on the shoulder or dial *11 or 1-800-332-3880 to receive aid. Be prepared to give your milepost location and direction of travel and move the involved vehicles out of active travel lanes if possible.
