You don't have to be just male or female on Facebook anymore, the social network is giving users new options.  Androgynous, bi-gender, intersex, gender fluid or transsexual are just a few of the new terms Facebook is adding to give its users more options to identify themselves.

Facebook told the AP "There's going to be a lot of people for whom this is going to mean nothing, but for the few it does impact, it means the world."  There will be about 50 different terms to identify gender as well as three preferred pronoun choices: him, her or them. Facebook will also allow users to keep their gender identity private.

More information is available on the Facebook Diversity Page.
