For Those Shoveling, Latest Snowfall Was a Real Backbreaker

By Michelle Durham

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Today's snowfall across the Delaware Valley is much different from other snowstorms earlier this season.

George (at left in photo), who was busy shoveling snow near Independence Mall in center city Philadelphia, said this snow is much, much heavier than the previous ones.

"It has a lot of wetness to it -- a whole lot of rain, so it's more wet than the other snow," he noted.

Charles (at right in photo) agreed.

"I think it's heavier and a little messier this time. But we get it done!" he added.

Both say the weight of this snow could pose a danger to those not used to the exertion of shoveling.  George's advice: "Hire a professional to clear away the snow for you.  Safety is always first."
