PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — As the search continues for the suspects wanted for the murder of a 26-year old in Northern Liberties last weekend, the reward for information leading the suspects is being increased.
The Citizens Crime Commission says the reward is now $37,000 for information that helps Philadelphia Police make an arrest in the robbery and shooting death of Amber Long.
Long and her mother were targeted by two purse-snatchers last Sunday night.
In surveillance video released by Philadelphia Police, one robber grabs the purse of Long’s and starts to run, while a second robber grabs Long’s purse, spinning her around. An instant later, Amber was shot and dying in her mother’s arms (see related story).
Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Commission Tip line at 215-546-TIPS or Philadelphia Police at 215-686-TIPS.
