Sewer Leak In South Jersey Frustrates Residents

WEST DEPTFORD, N.J. (CBS)—Residents are complaining of a sewage leak in West Deptford, Gloucester County Friday night.

Sewege was seen spewing from a manhole at West Red Bank Road and Meadowcroft Road.

Crews worked hard to clear out the sewage line Friday night.

Residents said this is the second sewage leak this year.

Joan Conn said, "We need a fix, we need a pure fix because something really bad is going to happen. Our homes are going to be ruined, our children are going to get sick."

Another resident, Lisa Olsen said, "We don't want to see the sewers destroying our downstairs again. Neighbors have had this happen in the last six months."

So far, no comment from West Deptford officials.
