Wright, Zack Lead La Salle Past Wagner 80-54
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Jerrell Wright scored a game-high 17 points and Steve Zach added 12 points, a career-high 17 rebounds and four blocked shots as La Salle ran away from Wagner for an 80-54 win Thursday night.
La Salle (6-5), which never trailed in the game, used a 15-2 run capped by Wright's jumper with 8:45 to play in the first half to open up a 25-9 lead and Wagner (5-7) never got closer than 13 again.
Tyreek Dureen, who finished with 11 points, six assists and one steal, moved into sixth place (433) on La Salle's all-time assist list and passed Kareem Towns, moving into seventh with 197 career steals. Zack took over eighth place on the school's all-time blocks list with 76.
The Explorers out-rebounded Wagner 50-29, including 22-7 on the offensive glass. La Salle assisted on 21 of 29 field goals and committed a season-low three turnovers.
