PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police are investigating if the weather played a role in a deadly accident on New Jersey Transit’s River Line.
A northbound train slammed into a car at Lalor Street in Trenton around 6pm on Saturday.
The driver of the car was killed and his passenger was injured, her condition is unknown.
New Jersey Transit says the crossing gate was down at the time of the accident.
There were 28 people on board the train at the time of the accident. No injuries to the train passengers were reported.
New Jersey Transit Police are continuing their investigation.
