Suspect Sought In Fatal Hunting Park Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)–Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place in the Hunting Park section of the city.

Shortly before 10 a.m., police responded to a call on the 1300 block of W. Pike Street.

Upon arrival, they found a 27-year-old male on the highway with a gunshot wound to his head.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by medics, marking the 236th homicide in the city this year.

The suspect or suspects are still on the loose.

There is no known motive at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1.
