Snow Causing Traffic And Travel Issues Around Philadelphia Region

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The rapidly falling snow is causing traffic and travel delays all over the Philadelphia region.

Several towns have declared snow emergencies and are requesting all cars be removed from roadways, including Trumbauersville Borough in Bucks County and Royersford, Abington and West Norriton Township in Montgomery County.

PennDOT is also urging motorists on major roadways, such as the PA Turnpike, to reduce their speed and use caution.

Meanwhile, NJ State Troopers say they've responded to 82 accidents and 102 motorist aids in the state as of 10 a.m.

At Philadelphia International Airport, a ground stop has been lifted, but flight delays are averaging around four hours.

All SEPTA lines are running with slight delays at this time, and Amtrak is reporting delays of just 15 minutes.
