Michael Carter-Williams Is The Odds-On Favorite To Win NBA Rookie Of The Year
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Michael Carter-Williams had a good Tuesday. He led the Sixers to a double-overtime win over the Magic with his first triple-double, on the very same day he was named NBA Rookie Of The Month for November. Oddsmakers think he's going to keep up the impressive play.
Carter-Williams is a 1/2 favorite to win the NBA ROY, according to Bovada. Victor Oladipo, who also had a triple-double on Tuesday night, is the next likely at 7/5.
The Sixers, who although have fallen in the standings lately, are still a surprising 10-1 to win the Atlantic Division. The Nets, who have struggled mightily so far, are still the favorites at 2/3. Without a team over .500, the Atlantic Division is clearly the worst in the NBA.
The Heat remain the favorite to win the NBA title at 2/1, followed by the Indiana Pacers at 4/1. Interestingly, the Pacers and Heat are the only two Eastern Conference teams over .500.
