Sixers Waive Brown And Morris

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Sixers have waived two players, a league source said Wednesday.

Adrian Wojnarowski, of Yahoo Sports, released the news on Twitter that the 76ers had let go Kwame Brown and Darius Morris around 5:15 p.m.

Sixers coach Brett Brown confirmed the information a short time later.

Wojnarowski says Brown was the first overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft to the Washington Wizards.
