2 Injured In Police Involved Shooting In Camden

CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) - Authorities say police shot a man in the leg after they stopped his vehicle for an investigating Saturday in Camden, New Jersey.

The shooting happened just after 4 p.m. at Marlton Pike and 24th Street.

According to authorities, the man was armed with an assault type weapon.

A bystander was also hit in the leg during the shooting. Both the bystander and the other man were taken to Cooper University Hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The armed man is expected to be put into custody following his release from the hospital. according to authorities.
