PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia Police uncovered human remains Friday afternoon in Kensington, according to sources.

Sources tell CBS 3 police found a jaw and teeth at 3rd and Westmoreland Streets.

CBS 3 is told by sources the discovery may be connected to an ongoing investigation into fired homicide detective Ronald Dove.

Dove is under investigation for allegedly tampering with evidence and improperly interfering with investigators involving four separate murders.

Several weeks ago, investigators spent days digging at the same location where the remains were found Friday.
