Saint Joseph's Cruises Past Marist 81-62

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Langston Galloway had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead Saint Joseph's over Marist 81-62 on Wednesday night.

Ronald Roberts Jr. contributed 16 points to go along with 10 rebounds for the Hawks (2-0). Halil Kanacevic also had a double-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds.

Chavaughn Lewis led all scorers with 26 for Marist (0-3).

The Hawks never trailed in the game and built a 12-0 lead in the first 4 minutes in route to a 15 point halftime lead, 40-25.

Saint Joseph's shot 49 percent from the field including 7-of-16 from beyond the arc. Marist was also outrebounded by the Hawks 47 to 26.

Despite the teams being less than 200 miles apart, it was the first time these teams faced each other. Saint Joseph's faces Creighton at home Saturday.
