PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Yesterday, the Phillies signed OF, Marlon Byrd, to a two year deal worth $16 million. Byrd, 36, is coming off his best hitting season of his career (24 HR, 88 RBI, .291/.336/.511).

Byrd was suspended for 50 games in 2012 for a positive PED test, and was signed to a minor league deal for just $700,000 by the Mets prior to last season.

The WIP Morning Show asked on the Audio Roadshow app, “Did Ruben Amaro Jr. make the right move by signing Marlon Byrd?” 82% of fans said no.
