PHILADELPHIA (CBS)–A fundraiser is set for Monday night to help female veterans find peace through music and arts.

The Farmhouse is a small retreat facility in Kennett Square, Chester County and founder Barbara Montgomery says it’s the perfect place to bring female veterans together to connect following the horrors of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.

She says they find their voices through music and the arts, “which is a very profound healing experience on how they can express things. Maybe they can’t express in other ways and begin the healing process.”

Monday at 6-8 p.m., there will be a fundraiser at the Prime Rib at 1700 Locust Street in Center City.

The women can attend the healing workshops for free.
