Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With SUV In Norristown

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A man is dead and a woman was injured in a motorcycle accident early Sunday morning in Norristown, Montgomery County.

The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. at East Main Street and Arch Street.

Police tell KYW Newsradio a man riding a motorcycle lost control of the bike and slammed into an SUV. The unidentified man was thrown from the motorcycle and slid beneath the SUV.

He was taken to Mercy Suburban Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the SUV, an unidentified woman, was taken to Einstein Medical Center Montgomery where she was treated for a minor arm injury.

The accident remains under investigation.

No charges have been filed.
