PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Former Phillie, Shane Victorino, helped the Boston Red Sox capture their third World Series since 2004, going 2-3 with 4 RBI’s last night in the clinching game. Of course, this is Victorino’s second World Series, with his first coming in 2008 as a Phillie. In fact, the World Series parade down Broad Street was held exactly five years ago today.
For Phillies fans it’s sort of bitter sweet, watching Victorino celebrate a World Championship with another team and city.
The WIP Morning Show poll their listeners using the Audio Roadshow app, asking fans if they are happy for Victorino and 78% of fans said yes.
