1 Dead, 4 Injured In Nicetown Crash

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Five people were taken to the hospital after an accident in Philadelphia's Nicetown section Wednesday night.

The accident was reported at about 10:30 p.m. at the 4300 block of Wissahickon Avenue.

A driver in his 20's is dead and four passengers are in stable condition following the one car crash.

Police say the driver to lost control of his car, struck a large flower planter and was ejected.

The driver was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital.

Police say the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
