Police Release Surveillance Video Of Suspects Wanted In Society Hill Carjacking Attempt
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a shooting and carjacking attempt in Society Hill.
The incident happened Monday morning at about 1:45 a.m. near Second and Walnut Streets.
According to police, the 33-year-old victim was returning to his vehicle which was parked on the 100 block of Walnut Street when he was approached by two men who were both armed with handguns, demanding the victim's car keys (see related story).

Detectives say the victim put up a fight, and as he tried to run away, the attackers caught up with him, pistol-whipped him and shot him in the back.
After the shooting, police say both suspects fled west on the 200 block of Walnut Street.
Suspect #1 is described as a Black male, 5'8″-5'10″, 150-160 lbs, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and armed with a handgun.
Suspect #2 is described as a Black male, 5'8″-5'10″, 150-160 lbs, wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and armed with a handgun.
