VIDEO: Suspect Breaks Into North Philly Deli; Steals $2K

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who was caught on surveillance tape breaking into a deli and stealing thousands of dollars.

The burglary happened at about 2:45 a.m. on October 7th at Dave's Meat Market located at 2831 North 22nd Street in North Philadelphia.

The surveillance video shows the suspect gaining access to the business by forcing in an air conditioning unit in the wall.

Once inside, the suspect stole approximately $2,000 in cash. The suspect then exited the store by climbing back out where the air conditioning unit was located.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30 to 40-years-of-age, with a medium build and goatee. He was wearing a Polo style shirt, a baseball hat, Khaki pants, New Balance sneakers and was carrying a shoulder bag.

Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to contact police.
