Sixers' Moultrie Sidelined Until 2014 After Ankle Surgery
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Second-year power forward Arnett Moultrie will be sidelined until 2014 after having ankle surgery, the Sixers reported today.
Molutrie, a first-round pick of the Sixers last year, suffered an "injury to the medial malleolus of his left ankle last week and underwent surgery on Thursday, September 26." The team is having their annual "media day" on Friday, and begin training camp on Saturday.
Moultrie averaged 3.7 points and 3.1 rebounds in 47 games for the Sixers last season.
The team also announced that center Kwame Brown "right hamstring strain during off-season workouts and will receive a second opinion."
