Computer Issues Impacting Motor Vehicle Commission Offices In New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Technicians are working to restore service that has shut down some New Jersey state government websites.

Treasury Department spokesman Bill Quinn says there was a power interruption at one of the state's three data processing centers around 5 a.m. Thursday.

Quinn says power has been restored and technicians are bringing the websites back up.

Among the casualties are all 39 Motor Vehicle Commission agency offices across the state. They're unable to process transactions.

The MVC says it will serve customers once the service is restored.

Other state websites are operating.
