PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A teenage boy is in critical condition after a shooting near a take-out restaurant in North Philadelphia.
It happened just after midnight Saturday near the North-Garden Chinese American Take-Out in the 5600 block of Blakemore Street in the city’s Ogontz section.
Police say they responded to a call of a shooting and arrived to find a 16-year-old boy lying on the floor of the restaurant with multiple gun shot wounds to his back, stomach and leg.
The boy was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center in critical, but stable condition.
Authorities say the shooting did not occur inside the store. They say the boy ran into the restaurant after he was shot.
There was no immediate word on what sparked the shooting.
There were no initial arrests.
