CARLISLE, Pa. (CBS) – Fans of the Chevrolet Corvette are gathering in central Pennsylvania this weekend for the biggest show of the year which features an extra special attraction.
It’s not often a brand new Corvette makes the scene, but this weekend it will take center stage at Corvettes at Carlisle.
“The build quality, they really went over the top, they truly did,” says co-owner of Carlisle Events, Lance Miller. “The car had a lot of plastic before but now you’re going to see a leather wrap.”
Miller says the seventh generation Vette is attracting a younger crowd:
“I was watching people take pictures and you see younger generations, they were coming over and taking pictures of the car. We need some younger blood involved there.”
The new Corvette has a more refined interior and 460 horse power. After this weekend, look for it this fall, starting at about $52,000.
