CAMDEN, NJ (CBS) – The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking Registered Nurses to be trained as Forensic Nurse Examiners Certified in Sexual Assault, or ‘SANE Nurses.’

SANE Nurses are key to collecting the necessary evidence for convicting a rapist, and they must also offer dignity and understanding to victims of sexual assault.

Officials say interviews for the positions are currently being conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office’s Forensic Nurse Examiner Unit. All applicants must be RNs with at least two years of clinical experience and available to complete a specialized course through the Board of Nursing on Oct. 10, 11, 12, 28, 29 and 30 at The College of New Jersey.

If you’re interested, please fax your resume to Pendergrass, SANE/SART Coordinator at (856) 580-6050. The office will not accept phone calls about the positions.
