Bensalem Police Investigating Attempted Robbery At Bank Drive-Thru

BENSALEM, Pa., (CBS) – Bensalem police are investigating an attempted robbery at a bank drive-thru Monday morning.

Police responded shortly after 9:30 a.m. to the TD Bank located at the 3800 block of Neshaminy Boulevard.

According to police, the victim pulled her vehicle into the drive-thru lane to make a deposit when she was blocked by a vehicle.

Investigators say a man in the vehicle got out and allegedly smashed the victim's driver side front window in a robbery attempt.

Police say the victim accelerated, crashing into the suspect's vehicle, and fled the parking lot.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

The vehicle is described as an older model Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury Marquis, dark in color, with chrome door handles.  The car sustained damage to the passenger side during the incident. Police say there were possibly two other male passengers in the car.
