Police: Man Arrested For Allegedly Biting Clerk During Robbery Of NJ Adult Book Store

By Dan Wing

HADDON Twp., N.J., (CBS) - Police have arrested a man they say robbed and repeatedly bit an adult bookstore clerk last month in Haddon Township (see previous story).

Authorities say 35-year-old Collin Gooch of Woodstown, N.J., was taken into custody in connection with the bizarre incident, in which Gooch jumped over the counter of Edward's News Agency on Route 130 on July 18th.

Surveillance video showed the tattooed man then biting the clerk's arm during a struggle. Haddon Township Police Chief Mark Cavallo says those actions have landed Gooch in jail at the Camden County Correctional Center.

"Mr. Gooch is charged with robbery, aggravated assault and theft. His total bail is $85,500 full cash," said Cavallo.

Cavallo says Gooch's bizarre robbery netted him only $48.

The clerk was not seriously hurt.
