Cops: Driver Crashes Into Car While Trying To Flee From Pedestrian Accident

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say a driver was hospitalized after trying to flee when he hit a pedestrian in Philadelphia.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. near Rising Sun Avenue and Tabor Road in the Olney section of the city.

According to officials, the driver hit an unidentified pedestrian and attempted to flee, but crashed into another car.

Both the pedestrian and the driver were taken to Albert Einstein Hospital. The pedestrian is listed in critical condition and the driver is listed in stable condition.

Police say the driver will be tested for possible drugs or alcohol, but no charges have been filed.
