UPDATE: I-476 NB Reopened After Accident Snarls Traffic In Montgomery County

UPPER GWYNEDD Twp., Pa., (CBS) – Chopper 3 HD was over the scene of a two-vehicle accident on I-476 in Montgomery County on Tuesday.

The accident happened at about 4 p.m. on I-476 between Mid-County and Lansdale.

The crash was blocking all northbound lanes of I-476 north of Mid-County for about a half hour.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission says the accident was under the Bethel Road overpass with no shoulder available, therefore all lanes were blocked.

There was a backlog due to the accident.

The roadway is now reopened.
