PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Thinking of adding a pet to the family?

This weekend, the Pennsylvania SPCA is holding a “Fee-Waived Heat Wave Weekend” adoption promotion. That means that all pet adoptions between Friday and Sunday are free.

The PSPCA says that in the last month alone, it’s rescued more than 100 animals from half-a-dozen hoarding situations. This means resources are stretched, and adoptions or fosters are needed.

To adopt a pet, visit the SPCA at 350 E Erie Avenue in Philadelphia on Friday between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For questions, call 215-426-6300 or email adoptions@pspca.org.
