PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect in connection with the robbery of a convenience store earlier this month that was caught on tape.

WATCH: Surveillance Video

The incident happened at about 3:45 a.m. on June 13th at the Wawa store located in the 6100 block of Harbison Avenue.

Surveillance video captured the suspect entering the store and walking around for several moments. The suspect then waited for an employee to finish up with a customer and then made his move.

The suspect went behind the counter, pulled out a knife and demanded money from the employee.

When the employee opened the cash register, the suspect took $300 in cash before running out of the store.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 5’7”-5’9”, approximately 20-30-years-of-age with a medium complexion. He was wearing a blue-hooded sweatshirt and black shorts.

Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call 911.
