PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — For the first time next month, galleries, shops, restaurants, museums, and other venues in Old City Philadelphia will be going to their sidewalks for a one-day festival.

Called “Old City Inside Out” and following on the heels of Old City’s successful monthly “First Fridays” promotion, it’s being held on Saturday, July 6th, from 12 noon to 6pm along the sidewalks of Old City.

Among the participants will be Reform Vintage Modern, 112 North Third Street.  Owner Arthur Meckler says they will have furniture, lamps, art and other items on the pavement for sale.

Meckler (below) says all around the neighborhood there will be discounts, demonstrations, and entertainment, too.

“At the Betsy Ross House they are going to be doing sort of a flagmaking workshop,” he tells KYW Newsradio.  “There is going to be music on the streets, jazz and different sort of performances.  Up the street at Brazen Boxing they are going to be doing a kickboxing demonstration right out on the sidewalk.   The Revolution House (restaurant) on Market Street will be doing a pizza dough demonstration.”
