PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz has been activated from the disabled list, and will be available for Tuesday night’s game against the Nationals. To make room on the roster, Steven Lerud has been optioned to AAA Lehigh Valley.
Ruiz has been on the DL since May 21st with a strained right hamstring. In 16 games this season, Ruiz is hitting .235 with 2 RBIs, and an OPS of .560.
