Pa. State Troopers On Lookout For Distracted Drivers
HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) – Pennsylvania State Police are warning motorists to drive carefully this week.
From June 16th through 22nd, State Police will be participating in the 6-State Trooper Project, which targets distracted driving.
Officers will be on the lookout for traffic violations such as speeding, unsafe lane changes and tailgating.
Drivers are also reminded that texting and driving is punishable with a $50 fine.
The 6-State Trooper Project is a multi-state partnership that includes Pennsylvania State Police, Michigan State Police, Kentucky State Police, Ohio State Highway Patrol, West Virginia State Police and Indiana State Police.
