Phillies Host Dozens of Women For Baseball Training From The Insiders

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It was Spring Training of sorts for scores of women from throughout the Philadelphia area who descend upon Citizens Bank Park today to learn about baseball from the pros.
The day began bright and early. After breakfast the ladies head out to the field for a lesson on pitching, fielding with Ryne Sandberg, and base running with Juan Samuel.
Debbie Stuart came from Allentown, Pa. to take part in the women's event for the third time. Does she know more about baseball now?
"I knew about as much as I knew before, but it is always fun to come back!" she said today.
The ladies were surprised by a visit from Ryan Howard. They had the opportunity to ask him questions, and there was one that definitely took Ryan by surprise -- regarding his recent wedding.
"It was definitely out-of-the-box," Howard replied. "It was cool."
