PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police are investigating an early morning hit-and-run in Kensington that left a 45-year-old man in critical condition.

It happened around 3:30 Monday morning along the 600 block of East Ontario Street.

Witnesses tell police the victim appeared to be lying in the street, sleeping, when he was hit by the car.  He was dragged about a block-and-a-half to the 3400 block of Crystal Street.  The car sped off.

The victim is in critical condition at Temple University Hospital.

Police say they’re looking for a blue Chrysler 300 taxi cab with silver trim and a cage in the rear.
