Man Dead After Shooting In East Mount Airy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A man is dead after a shooting in East Mount Airy Tuesday night.

The incident happened at about 9:27 p.m. on the 6900 block of Stenton Avenue.

Philadelphia Police say the victim was shot once in the chest.  He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say they are looking for a male suspect wearing a burgundy hooded sweatshirt and light blue jeans who fled on foot.

No arrests have been made at this time.
