Knife-Wielding Suspect Robs Mother, 7-Year-Old Son In Delaware

BEAR, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware are searching for a suspect that robbed a mother and her young son after they went to the ATM.

The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. Saturday at the WSFS Bank ATM located in the 200 block of Fox Hunt Drive in Bear.

According to police, an unknown suspect approached the victims wearing a mask and armed with a knife.

Police say the suspect demanded money from the 43-year-old mother and her 7-year-old son, then grabbed and undisclosed amount of cash from the son's hands before fleeing on foot toward Fox Run Apartments.

Neither victim was injured.

The suspect has been described as a 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, black male weighing about 180-190 pounds. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, black pants and dark colored shoes.
