By Al Novack, Dray Clark, Steve Beck

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police say two residents were the victims of a break-in and violent home invasion just after 3 a.m. Thursday.

The incident happened in the 300 block of Gayle Street in the city's Olney section.

Police say the suspects kicked their way into the home through a back door and ordered two men sleeping inside onto the floor.

Investigators say the suspects pistol-whipped the victims and told them that if they looked at the suspects, they would be killed.

The suspects stole approximately $800, a TV and two laptop computers before running out of the home.

One of the victims, a 41-year-old male, was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment of head injuries. The other victim, a 40-year-old male, did not require medical attention.

Police have no one in custody.

The incident remains under investigation.
