PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Cuban president's daughter is in Philadelphia to participate in a panel discussion and to receive an award for her gay rights activism.
"I am really very excited to be here," said Mariela Castro.
She visited the President's House and Liberty Bell.
Through a translator she spoke to the media on the lawn of Independence Mall saying U.S. and Cuba relations will strengthen. She also spoke about a country in a revolution has a lot of work to do.
And when she asked about the health of her father Raul and Uncle Fidel she said they both were doing well.
